Diagnostic Imaging service specialises in the use of imaging for the diagnosis and the interventional treatment of a wide range of conditions.

The service is one of the largest medical imaging facilities in the United Kingdom. It is exceptionally well equipped and has a range of renowned specialists covering all the major fields.

St Bartholomew’s Hospital

• Radiology (including ultrasound, CT and MRI scanning).
• Cardiac angiography.
• Nuclear medicine.
• Symptomatic breast radiology.
• Breast screening and screening quality assurance.

The Royal London Hospital

• Radiology (including ultrasound, CT and MRI scanning).
• Angiography, neuro-angiography and interventional radiology.
• Nuclear medicine.
• Dental and maxillo-facial radiology.
• Paediatric radiology.

The London Chest Hospital

• Radiology (including ultrasound and CT scanning).
• Cardiac angiography.

Mile End Hospital

• Radiology (including ultrasound scanning). Elective adult patients only.

The Central and East London Breast Screening Services (CELBSS), have mobile breast screening units offering a screening service to women in the City and East London. CELBSS is part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme, covering women between 50 and 70 years.
