The Director of Finance and Investment presented the Full Business Case (FBC) for the new hospitals programme to the public meeting of Barts and The London's Trust Board on 6 September 2006. This version of the full business case incorporates changes made in line with requirements by the Department of Health at the time of its approval of the scheme in March 2006, which was conditional on a £9.4 million reduction in the annual unitary charge to be paid by the Trust to the private partner for the construction and maintenance of the new hospitals.
Please note that some of the figures and details contained in this version of the FBC are currently under review, as part of the ongoing process to identify a preferred option for reaching the required cost reduction. Once a final agreement is reached, a further addendum to the FBC will be submitted and, once approved, will be published, in line with advice from the Department of Health.
