For clinicians
We are committed to providing our referring clinicians with information required to assist them in making referrals to the service and co-ordinating care.
Referral guidelines
All obstetric services for The Royal London and the Barkantine Birth Centre are based at The Royal London Hospital.
Referrals should be sent to:

Women can access maternity services directly by contacting the clinic on 020 7377 7431.
Women should be referred as soon as their pregnancy is confirmed so that their booking appointment with the midwife is by 10-12 weeks.
Women with medical complications such as type 1 or type 2 diabetes will be seen urgently to ensure care pathways are established.
