Prospective governors

Once Barts and The London becomes an NHS foundation trust, a new members' council will play an important role in working with the board of directors to develop the strategy for our hospitals and ensure that our services are meeting the needs of our patients and the local population.

All public and patient members will be able to elect governors to represent them on the members' council.  Members might also be interested in standing for election as a governor themselves.

Many of you have already expressed an interest in becoming a governor - thank you for this.  We plan to hold introductory sessions for prospective governors later this year and will contact directly those who have already expressed an interest.  Details will also be included in Members' Link, our newsletter for members, and posted on this website.
