Gifts for our children

We are always delighted to receive gifts for our Children’s Hospital, but sometimes we can't accept what you send us due to concerns about infection, and restrictive storage space.

To help you, we've compiled a list of what our children enjoy playing with and what we can't use:

What our children love:

0 – 3 Years

  • Rattles
  • Musical boxes/mobiles
  • Toys to stimulate the senses
  • Activity centres
  • Baby gyms
  • Push-a-long toys

3 – 6 Years

  • Duplo/Lego
  • Doctors & nurses kits
  • Play Dough sets
  • Games & Books – pop-up / musical
  • Cars / Garages
  • Dolls / Push Chairs

6 – 11 Years

  • Arts & Craft sets
  • Board Games – e.g. Connect 4
  • Hand held computer games
  • Secret Diaries
  • Jewellery Boxes
  • Watches

12 – 16 Years

  • DVD’s (over 12 rating please)
  • Computer Games (Playstation & PC)
  • Bath sets and make-up
  • Board Games – e.g. Monopoly
  • Personal Stereos
  • Filofax/ diaries

Things we CAN'T use:

  • over-sized soft toys
  • large mechanical or motorised toys
  • used clothing

Tips:

  • Don't forget the age group you're donating to is 0 - 16 years - teenagers are often forgotten
  • If you donate chocolate, please make sure it is in a sealed branded pack (we have to be careful with allergies)
